Framework for Growth™ (FfG) is a comprehensive model that provides clarity and focus to building successful schools. The FfG model’s resources, trainings, and supports were developed by the Academic Development Institute and PLS 3rd Learning.

CHANGE MANAGEMENT
Indistar is an electronic platform that manages change aimed at research-based effective practices. Indistar includes two tracks:
District Success
1 core function with 3 effective practices
School Success:
High Schools: 7 core functions, 24 effective practices
Middle Schools: 5 core functions, 17 effective practices
Elementary Schools: 6 core functions, 18 effective practices
ALIGNED PROFESSIONAL LEARNING
To increase teacher competencies around the effective practices implemented through Indistar, each teacher participates in targeted professional development, aligned with FfG effective practices, through the FfG PD Center.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DIFFERENTLY
Professional Development Differently is an online system that assesses individual teacher competencies and determines best fit with Aligned PD and the FfG model.
LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
The Leadership Academy is an advanced training for district and school leaders and Leadership Teams within the FfG model. Includes management of effective instructional teams and facilitation of instructional planning.
FAMILY ENGAGEMENT
The school forms a School Community Council or Family Engagement Team. The team focus on the relationships among students, families, and school personnel that support student learning. The Family Engagement Tool guides their work and provides a rich library of resources.
PERSONAL COMPETENCY ACADEMY
The Personal Competencies Academy includes training on Enhanced Lesson Design and strategies to build students’ personal competencies for learning—cognitive, metacognitive, motivational, and social/emotional. The training includes lesson planning templates and an Internet-based tool for planning and with access to resources.
COACHING FOR SCHOOLS/DISTRICTS
AfG provides virtual coaching for district and school Leadership Teams. The coaching includes webinar-based trainings, conference calls, and feedback and dialogue via the Indistar system.

The Framework for Growth (FfG) model represents our best thinking about how schools change, how educators grow, and how students learn. FfG is a low-cost, high-impact, readily sustainable model to catalyze bold change that puts in place ongoing processes of continuous improvement. FfG incorporates state-of-the-art technology and professional learning methods to elevate practice and transform learning.
