The purpose of the BIE Principal Leadership Academy (PLA) is to prepare principals to achieve rapid and sustained improvement of their schools by providing them with training, mentoring, and support. The training focuses on the principal’s role in setting direction, managing change, engaging people, and improving instruction. The mentoring and support ensure that training is effectively translated into practice.
